The Care Home is a recently refurbished, 120-bedroom home in Merthyr Tydfil, with a dedicated team providing exceptional standards of nursing and dementia care, and also care for younger people with physical disabilities. We have built strong links with the local community and have become well known for our fundraising efforts and award-winning achievements. We have been nationally recognised for the outstanding care our team delivers and are proud to have won ‘Care Registered Nurse’ at the prestigious National Care Awards and ‘Nurse of the Year’ at the Wales Care Awards. We have achieved an ORCHID award, showing success in implementing all 11 aspects of the Hallmark Care Homes’ dementia strategy.
About the role
Our General Managers at Hallmark are autonomous in responsibility for the overall management of their Home, all measured through key performance indicators such as sales leadership, financial management, customer and team engagement, recruitment and through regulatory CQC compliance.
About you
As the head of the home, strong leadership and coaching skills are paramount. Communication skills are vital to be able to demonstrate empathy, engage team members, and work with families and residents alike.
Essential for the role:
- Experience of managing a large home
- Established leadership skills to manage large teams
- Effective multi-tasking and prioritisation
- Strong commercial business awareness with P+L Accountability and Sales and Marketing expertise
- Must be able to register with Social Care Wales
- Registered Manager Award Level 4 or Level 5 in Health and Social Care
- RN/RMN qualified ( Desirable)
- Dementia Care qualification ( Desirable)
